• What is Pay with Points?

    Pay with Points is a feature of the Citi Rewards Program that allows you to redeem your Citi reward Points for statement credits on eligible purchases.

  • How does Pay with Points work?

    Once you make an eligible purchase using your Citi credit card, you may receive a text message with a unique URL. To redeem your Points, click on the URL and follow the prompts.

  • How can I pay for my recent purchase using my reward Points?

    To pay for your recent purchase using your Citi reward Points, you must use the unique link that was sent to you via a text message and follow the instructions.

  • Who is eligible to use Pay with Points?

    To receive a Pay with Points offer via SMS you must have a valid mobile number, opt in to marketing communications, your account must be in open and in good standing and be enrolled in the Citi Rewards Program.

    Also, you will need to have sufficient points to convert the eligible purchase. Citi customers who are enrolled in the Citi Qantas Rewards Program and Emirates Skywards Miles Program will not be eligible.

  • What is classified as an eligible purchase?

    An eligible purchase means an Eligible Transaction that Citi has decided will qualify for Pay with Points. In general an Eligible Transaction means any purchase excluding (but not limited to) Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, Special Promotions, BPAY payments, purchases of foreign currency and travellers cheques, transactions made in operating a business, payments to other Citi accounts, bank fees and charges such as interest and ATM charges, transactions made using Points and government related transactions. Government related transactions include transactions with government or semi-government entities, or relating to services provided by or in connection with government (for example but not limited to transactions made at Australia Post, payments to the Australian Taxation Office, council rates, motor registries, tolls, parking stations and meters, fares on public transport, fines and court related costs).

  • Can I use any of my previous purchases to pay with my Points?

    Pay with Points chooses a specific purchase for you to redeem your Points. If you wish to redeem your Points for other purchases, please look at using our Select and Credit option.

  • How long is the offer valid for?

    The Pay with Points offer is only valid for 48 hours after you receive a text message that contains the instructions of how to redeem your Points.

  • Can I cancel my Pay with Points redemption?

    No, Pay with Points redemptions cannot be cancelled or reversed. Once your Points are transferred, the Points may not be transferred back.

  • Which account will receive the statement credit?

    The account that will receive the statement credit will be the credit card account that you made the purchase with.

  • What if I return my purchase?

    If you return your item, your statement credit will not be affected.

  • When will I receive my statement credit?

    You will receive your statement credit within two business days of the redemption and it will appear on your next credit card statement or on Citi online.

  • Is there a fee for using this service?

    No, there is no fee for using Pay with Points.

  • If I make a purchase, how long do I have to redeem for a Select and Credit statement credit?

    You have up to 60 days from the purchase date.
