ATM/Internet PIN:
Citibank can issue a new ATM/Internet PIN, just call us on 13 24 84, select Option '0' and a representative will arrange this for you. Please allow up to five working days for your new ATM/Internet PIN to arrive.
Account Number:
If you have forgotten your account number this can be easily found in a number of places.
For Citibank Credit Cards your account number is the 16 digit number found on the front of your card. When having to register or reset your login details you'll be required to enter this number twice.

User ID
To create your User ID sign on to Citibank Online and select 'First Time User'. All you need to create your User ID is:
Your 16 digit card number or Internet Access Number (IAN)
Your ATM PIN or Internet PIN
Account or credit card number
If you have a Citibank debit card and a Citibank Credit Card, we recommend that you use your Citibank debit card to create your User ID-that way you will be able to see all of your accounts, including your Citibank Credit Card.
Password:
If you need to change your online banking password, sign on to Citibank Online and select 'Change User ID/Password/ATM Pin' from the Quick Navigation menu. You will be prompted to enter your current online banking password and then to create your new password.
Security questions:
To change your security questions and answers, simply sign on to Citibank Online and select 'Edit Profile & Preferences' from the top right hand side corner, then select 'Change my security questions'. You will be required to answer one of your security questions, before you can reset all questions.
ATM PIN:
To change your ATM PIN simply sign on to Citibank Online and select 'Change User ID/Password/ATM PIN' from the Quick Navigation menu. You will be required to enter your current ATM PIN and your new ATM PIN using the floating keyboard. For security reasons we recommend you do not select a PIN number which represents your birth date, or an alphabetical Code/PIN, which is a recognisable part of your name.
Note: If you have more than one card (e.g. Citibank debit card and a Credit Card) then you can only change the ATM PIN for the card you used when you created your User ID.
Not all Citibank accounts have an associated card number as this depends on the type of account you hold with us. If you don't have a card number, your account will have an associated Internet Access Number (IAN) which is used to register for Citibank Online. Your ATM PIN will be issued once your account application has been approved. Once your application is approved your ATM/Internet PIN can take up to five working days to arrive at your street address. For security reasons your ATM/Internet PIN can't be sent to a PO Box address. If you have not received your ATM/Internet PIN contact us on 13 24 84.
Your ATM/Internet PIN is one piece of information we use to identify you during the registration process. Your ATM/Internet PIN is also used to identify you when retrieving your User ID/Password, to reset your User ID/Password/answers to security questions or change your ATM PIN.
Customers who have a Citibank Online Saver account (COS) will receive an Internet Pin in place of an ATM PIN. All other customers will receive an ATM PIN.
Your account number is assigned by Citibank and is used to identify your account. For credit card customers this is the 16 digit number found on the front of your card. If you are having difficulty locating your account number read the above section 'I forgot my account number'.

When registering for Citibank Online and you are prompted to enter your account number use your card number. An IAN or Internet Access Number is issued for Citibank Online Savings accounts and is an alternative to a card number. You will receive your IAN in the post after your application has been approved. Once you have your IAN you will need to activate this by calling us on 13 24 84. Your activated IAN is also used during the registration process for Citibank Online. Your User ID is created when you register for Citibank Online and is required each time you sign on to online banking. You are able to create your own personal User ID which will make it easier to remember each time you need to login. Following are some tips that will help you create your User ID easily:
Ensure your User ID is between 6-20 characters long.
Your User ID is not case sensitive.
Your User ID should not contain special characters. It should consist of a letter, number, @, ., and _.

The dynamic on-screen keyboard provides greater online security when entering your password or PIN number. By using your mouse to enter this information rather than your keyboard, we are reducing the likeliness of being targeted by key logging software.
Your Password for Citibank Online must adhere to the following rules:
Must be a least eight characters long with a maximum of 16 characters
Must have at least one number and one letter
Cannot have three of the same characters in a row, e.g. aaa, 333
Cannot have three consecutive characters, e.g. 123, abc
cannot be the same as your User ID
Use of special characters is recommended, e.g. $, +, ?
Cannot be the same as your previous Passwords.
To choose a high-level security password, it is recommended that you:
Do not create a password that can be easily identifiable with you, e.g. that contains your name, date of birth, email address etc
Do create a password that only you can easily remember but that will be meaningless to anyone else. Choose a phrase or a combination of words, that makes the password easier to remember, eg: cmp/w@le30ds = change my password at least every 30 days
Do create a password longer than the minimum required, e.g. use 12 characters in lieu of the minimum 8
Do not use single words that can be found in any dictionary
Once created, never share your password or write it down - commit it to memory!
