Citibank helps Victorian fire victims
February 2009: Citibank is offering immediate financial relief to customers affected by the Victorian fire disaster.
The Citibank Disaster Relief Program ensures customers receive immediate assistance. Citibank will also work with individual customers on a case-by-case basis for longer-term solutions.
The Citibank Disaster Relief Program includes:
  • Suspension of mortgage payments for up to three months
  • Restructure of personal loans, if needed
  • Temporary credit line increases may also be available to meet unexpected costs
  • Waiver of fees for customers requiring early redemption of term deposits
  • Citibank is also working with insurance third-party partners for assistance with insurance claims
All customers will be treated on a case-by-case basis with a view to providing ongoing support tailored to their needs.

Citibank is also matching employee donations to the Red Cross Fire Disaster program for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
Customers can donate to the Red Cross appeal online at www.redcross.org.au or by calling 1800 811 700.
