| Citibank launches e-Treasury |
|
| Sydney, 13 December 2005: Citibank today takes internet banking to a new level with the launch of e-Treasury, an exciting initiative which enables customers to easily manage a range of term deposit products, completely online. |
|
| "Customers have really embraced the flexibility and convenience of internet banking. With e-Treasury, they can take it to the next step and actually control their personal investment portfolios anywhere, any time. This development provides an unrivalled level of online functionality," says Suvrat Saigal, Director CitiGold. |
|
| Citibank customers with local or foreign currency term deposits or dual currency deposits can now use Citibank Online (internet banking platform) to: |
|
Manage existing deposits entirely online
Act on currency movements by moving funds across multiple currencies using real time exchange rates
Establish new deposit accounts - multi-currency term deposits and dual currency deposits
Change the duration of a term deposit
Change maturity instructions for deposits
Top up a term deposit
Get live updates on the foreign exchange market |
|
| "Previously, customers had to visit their financial consultant to perform these transactions. Now they can literally have their finger on the pulse with their investments, which is especially valuable when performing currency conversions using real time exchange rates," says Suvrat. |
