Level of cover Choose a level of cover from $25,000 up to $750,000. Your age will determine the maximum allowable level of cover:

Ages 18 to 44 can apply for up to $750,000

Ages 45 to 54 can apply for up to $375,000

Ages 55 to 59 can apply for up to $125,000

Premiums vary depending on factors including your age, gender and smoking status. Here are some examples of how much it may cost:

  • 40 year old male, non-smoker with $200,000 of cover is $61.54 per month
  • 46 year old female, non-smoker with $250,000 of cover is $53.45 per month.

Claim requirements

You will need to supply supporting documentation for the event being claimed. The diagnosis and certification of the condition must be made by a medical practitioner approved by the insurer. It is also possible that medical reports and Medicare records may be required to properly assess the claim.

Qualifying period means that the symptoms leading up to the condition did not first occur, were not first diagnosed or were not first reasonably apparent during the first 90 days of cover.

  • War, hostilities, civil commotion or insurrection
  • Travel to a country currently subject to a DFAT 'Do not travel' warning

The premium is calculated based on the cover level you choose, your age, gender, medical loadings, smoker status and the answers you have given to occupation, health and pastime questions. In general terms, the healthier you are, the lower your premiums will be.

You can pay fortnightly, monthly or annually, with payments charged automatically to your credit card or debited from your nominated bank account.

Yes, there are no long-term contracts. If you cancel within the 21 day cooling off period, and have made no claims for this period, you will receive a full refund of any premiums paid. If you cancel outside the 21-day cooling off period no premiums will be refunded if you have elected to pay fortnightly or monthly. However, we will pay a pro rata refund where premiums are paid annually and you cancel the policy before the next annual payment is due. To cancel, you can notify us by phone, fax or in writing. Your policy does not have any savings, investment, cash or surrender value.
