Total balances held by a depositor with Citibank, up to an amount of AUD$250,000, will automatically access the Financial Claims Scheme. 
 
Existing Citibank Term Deposits booked on or prior to 10 September 2011 and maturing on or prior to 31 December 2012, will be covered up to AUD$1 million until the Term Deposit matures. If the Term Deposit is rolled over at maturity, the funds will be covered under the Financial Claims Scheme from the rollover date as a portion of the depositor’s total balances with Citibank and with a coverage cap of AUD$250,000.
